The report highlighted a rape occurring every six minutes in 2023, particularly affecting vulnerable groups like young children. Cities like Santana in Amapá reported alarming rates of violent crimes, reflective of broader issues of organized crime and drug trafficking.
While progress has been made in reducing violence, Brazil still faces obstacles in curbing police violence, protecting vulnerable populations, and addressing regional disparities in safety.
