The Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denis Bećirović, will be attending a commemoration event in London today to mark the National Day of Remembrance of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland for Srebrenica. The event will take place at the Government of the United Kingdom’s Secretariat of State for Foreign Affairs, Commonwealth Affairs and Development.
Bećirović will deliver a speech at the event, which will be attended by dignitaries, including members of the UK Government and Parliament. The UK is one of the few countries that commemorates the genocide in Srebrenica at a national level.
The event will be hosted by the newly elected Labor Minister of State for Europe, Stephen Doughty, with Bećirović as the main speaker. Last year, Bećirović also took part in the commemoration event in London.
