The Nigerian government has successfully lifted visa restrictions imposed by the United Arab Emirates, allowing Nigerian passport holders to travel to the UAE once again. This announcement follows a recent agreement reached between the two countries, ending a two-year visa ban due to diplomatic disputes.
In addition to the visa restrictions being lifted, Dubai’s Emirates Airline has resumed flights to Nigeria after the Central Bank of Nigeria remitted the outstanding $85 million in revenue to the UAE.
Nigerians seeking to travel to the UAE are advised to visit documentverificationhub.ae for updated visa requirements. The process includes obtaining a Document Verification Number (DVN) using your Nigerian passport. This can be done by filling out personal information, travel details, and passport information on the website, uploading an image of the passport, and making the necessary payments.
Additional requirements for obtaining the UAE visa include a six-month bank statement with a minimum balance of $10,000 USD, round-trip flight tickets, proof of confirmed and paid hotel booking, and payment of the visa fee at the UAE Visa Centre in Abuja or abroad.
