Birlestik-2024 International Military Exercise Concludes Successfully
The “Birlestik-2024” international operational-tactical command-staff exercise recently concluded in Kazakhstan, as reported by the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry. Military leaders from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan gathered at Cape Tokmak in the Caspian Sea to witness the final tactical episode of the exercise.
During the exercise, participants successfully executed tasks related to combating illegal armed groups in the coastal area of the Caspian Sea with high professionalism and precision. The scenario included parachute descents and search-rescue operations by the Azerbaijan Air Force to evacuate personnel from a crashed combat helicopter.
The closing ceremony of the exercise was attended by Defense Ministers from participating countries, who praised the participants for their effective use of modern combat equipment and professionalism. Military attachés from 15 states awarded distinguished servicemen with medals and gifts, while the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry commended its personnel for their performance in the exercise.
Azerbaijan’s representation in the “Birlestik-2024” exercise consisted of commando units, parachute descent and search-rescue services, Su-25 aircraft, and naval ships, showcasing the country’s military capabilities on an international stage.
