Significant surge in petrol prices observed in Pakistan

Inflation Striking Again: Govt Raises Petroleum Prices

The government of Pakistan has announced a recent hike in the prices of petroleum products, adding to the woes of the already struggling public. The price of petrol has surged by Rs 9.99 per litre, reaching a new high of Rs 275.60 per litre. High-speed diesel has also witnessed a substantial increase of Rs 6.18 per litre, now priced at Rs 283.63 per litre. Furthermore, the price of kerosene has been raised by Rs 0.83 per litre.

This spike in fuel prices is likely to cause a domino effect on the overall cost of goods and services, further stretching the already tight household budgets and potentially destabilizing the economy. With inflation already on the rise, this latest increase is adding insult to injury for the common man.
