The Kaduna State Independent Electoral Commission has set the date for the upcoming elections in the 23 Local Government Areas of the State on October 19, 2024. Chairperson Hajara Mohammed announced the date during a meeting with political parties and stakeholders in the State, highlighting the end of the current council members’ tenure on October 31.
KADSIECOM will oversee the elections for chairpersons, vice-chairpersons, and councillors in the state as per the KAD-SIECOM Law 2024. The election is scheduled to take place between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Saturday, October 19, 2024, in Kaduna.
The 2024 election guidelines and timetable have been released, ensuring a transparent and organized electoral process. Chairperson Mohammed reassured stakeholders of the commission’s readiness to conduct the election successfully on the specified date.
