Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly has announced a change in the official holiday commemorating the July 23 Revolution. The new decision states that Thursday, July 25, will be the official paid holiday instead of Tuesday, July 23, resulting in a three-day break with Thursday as the official holiday and Friday and Saturday as the weekend.
This holiday change applies to workers across various sectors including ministries, government departments, public bodies, local administrations, and the private sector. Additionally, the remaining official holidays for 2024 in Egypt include Monday, September 16 (Prophet’s birthday) and Sunday, October 6 (victory on October 6, 1973).
With this recent announcement, employees and residents in Egypt can plan ahead for the upcoming official holidays and enjoy some well-deserved time off.
