63-year-old MKP member walking 670km to fight for new election

Mkonyama shows unwavering loyalty to former president Zuma, supporting him when he feels the ANC government has strayed from its principles. Known for his long-distance walks, he embarks on his longest yet, a 670km journey to Nkandla.

This dedicated activist previously trekked over 150km for Mandela Day and embarked on other long walks. With a commitment to physical action, he walks over 10 hours a day, making stops at various points along the route. His journey is documented on social media with the hashtag #wewantourvoteswalk.

As he walks from Mokopane to Mookgophong, supporters await his arrival in Nkandla on August 3rd at 10:30 am. Despite the challenges, Mkonyama remains resolute in his mission to show support for his beliefs through action.
