A recent drone strike targeted an electrical substation in Russia’s Lipetsk Oblast. Governor Igor Artamonov confirmed the attack, stating that it hit the territory of an electrical substation in the Stanovlyansky municipal district. Fortunately, no casualties were reported, and emergency workers are on-site, ensuring operations were not disrupted.

Previous drone attacks by Ukrainian forces in Lipetsk Oblast have also targeted military and industrial facilities. These attacks include hitting a metallurgical plant and tractor factory, as well as causing a fire at the Eletskaya substation. President Volodymyr Zelensky has supported Ukraine’s right to strike military targets in Russian territory and urged the lifting of restrictions preventing the use of U.S. weapons in these attacks.
