MP from Zelensky’s party alleges Ukrainian general seeks surrender – RT Russia & USSR

In a shocking revelation, Ukrainian lawmaker Mariana Bezuglaya has accused the country’s army chief, Aleksandr Syrsky, of being part of a “generals’ mafia” and ready to surrender to Russia. Bezuglaya claims that Syrsky and his predecessor, Valery Zaluzhny, are colluding to prevent a Ukrainian victory, allegedly to protect their privileges.

Bezuglaya, also a deputy chair of the National Security, Defense, and Intelligence Committee, presented her case on Facebook, calling for Syrsky to be fired by President Zelensky. She believes that younger military leaders are more competent and innovative, capable of defeating Russia.

The lawmaker alleges that Syrsky is endangering Ukrainian troops and exposing them to Russian attacks to cover up his actions. Zelensky previously fired Zaluzny for contradicting his optimism about victory, showing a belief described as “immovable, verging on the messianic.”

Bezuglaya, known for being a Zelensky loyalist, is preparing public opinion for policy changes through her public allegations against high-ranking military officials. The situation reflects a complex power play within Ukraine’s military hierarchy.\
