Gaza Health Ministry: War death toll reaches 38,664

In the ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestinian fighters, the health ministry in Gaza reported a staggering death toll of at least 38,664 people, with 80 new deaths in just 24 hours. The number of wounded individuals reached 89,097 since the war began in October. The toll includes casualties from an Israeli air strike on a school in central Gaza that tragically claimed the lives of 22 people.

Recent events have further strained relations, with Hamas withdrawing from Gaza truce talks as Israeli bombardments continue. Despite these challenges, efforts for reconciliation between rival Palestinian groups Hamas and Fateh are underway, with senior officials set to meet in Beijing this month. These groups have a history of conflict, but there is renewed hope for unity amidst the ongoing violence.

The international community is closely watching these developments, with hopes for a ceasefire agreement and prisoner exchange to bring stability to the region. As tensions remain high, diplomatic efforts are more crucial than ever.
