TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, July 14. The Agency for
Quarantine and Plant Protection of Uzbekistan recently hosted a meeting with Latvian experts to discuss further cooperation, as reported by the Ministry of Agriculture of Uzbekistan.
The focus of the meeting was on the project titled “Improving the phytosanitary system to increase the export of Uzbekistan’s products”, which is funded by the Latvian government.
During the initial stages, Latvian experts will provide valuable insight on plant protection, soil analysis, fertilizers, and other essential aspects beneficial to both countries.
A key area of collaboration will involve scientific research to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and experience between Uzbekistan and Latvia.
Both parties have agreed to establish regular visits by specialists from Uzbekistan and Latvia to promote the exchange of expertise.
