Police under pressure for mutilated bodies in Nairobi

Kenyan police discovered several female bodies in the Nairobi slum, sparking a swift and transparent investigation. The officers are exploring various possibilities, including serial killers, cults, and rogue medical practitioners.

Investigation Details

Mutilated bodies were found in plastic bags at a dump in the Mukuru slums, with a total of eight bodies discovered. Preliminary reports indicate that all the victims were female, aged between 18 and 30. The bodies were severely dismembered and in different states of decomposition, placed in sacks.

Acting national police chief Douglas Kanja urged public cooperation to apprehend the perpetrators, emphasizing the commitment to transparent investigations. Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja requested calm from residents in the vicinity.

Search for Culprits

Last year, a cult mass grave was unearthed near Kenya’s coast, leading to a trial for the cult leader and associates. The Independent Police Oversight Authority is probing potential police involvement in the recent bodies found in Mukuru.

Kenyan police have faced scrutiny following deaths in anti-government protests, prompting the recent change in leadership. The authorities are determined to bring justice and restore order to the community.
