Gunfire Erupts at Trump’s Speech in Pennsylvania, Former President Appears Injured

The former president, Donald Trump, was speaking at a rally in Pennsylvania when gunfire reportedly erupted, cutting the event short. Trump, surrounded by bodyguards, appeared to be injured with a bloody ear as he was being led off stage. The incident took place while he was discussing immigration issues in the US.

“President Trump thanks law enforcement and first responders for their quick action during this heinous act. He is fine and is being checked out at a local medical facility. More details will follow,” the Trump campaign said in a statement.
US President Joe Biden has been briefed on the incident and expressed relief that Trump is safe. Former President Barack Obama also condemned political violence, emphasizing the need for unity in politics.
Butler county district attorney Richard Goldinger tells me Trump was grazed by gunfire but is safe. An audience member was killed and the shooter is dead. Another person is in serious condition, the prosecutor said.

US politicians from both parties responded to the incident, showing solidarity in condemning political violence and expressing prayers for Trump’s well-being.
