The Deputy Governor of Kano State, Aminu Abdussalam, expressed confidence in the appointed individuals overseeing local government activities in the state. Inaugurating a three-day orientation retreat in Kaduna State, focusing on the “Operational Guidelines for the Kano State Local Government Interim Management Committee,” he emphasized the importance of understanding operational guidelines for effective discharge of responsibilities and development of local government areas.
Gwarzo advised the interim chairmen to familiarize themselves with all aspects of LGA functions and be responsible in their duties. He urged the seminar consultants to promote collaboration among the committee members for the betterment of LGs. Participants appreciated Governor Abba Yusuf and the Deputy Governor for empowering LG administrators for sustainable development.
The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Ibrahim Kabara, thanked the Deputy Governor for the training and encouraged active engagement to enhance LG development. The Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly highlighted the operational guidelines’ role in promoting transparency and accountability for effective service delivery.
