The plan, authored by dozens of former Trump officials, proposes unpopular policies like cutting Social Security benefits and legalizing discrimination against LGBTQ people.
Recent polls show that when informed about Project 2025’s specifics, a majority of Americans oppose it. Trump’s flip-flop on the initiative mirrors his attempts to soften his stance on abortion. Despite his efforts to distance from Project 2025, Trump’s past support continues to raise questions about his true affiliations and policy positions.
