Tinubu, Akpabio, others praise Osoba’s national development drive.

President Bola Tinubu praised former Governor Olusegun Osoba as a patriotic Nigerian committed to national unity and progress at the public launch of Osoba’s book, “My Life In the Public Eye,” celebrating his 85th birthday. Tinubu highlighted Osoba’s role in the transition to democracy and the founding of the All Progressives Congress, emphasizing his positive impact on Nigeria.

Tinubu called for experienced Nigerians to document their stories for future generations, recognizing Osoba’s contributions to journalism and governance. Senate President Godswill Akpabio and Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun also commended Osoba’s nationalism and developmental achievements, particularly in rural communities.

The event showcased Osoba’s integrity, commitment to public service, and visionary policies that shaped Ogun State’s growth. Secretary to the Federal Government George Akume and Lagos State Deputy Governor Femi Hamzat lauded Osoba’s intelligence, writing skills, and commitment to national development.

In his goodwill message, former Commonwealth Secretary Chief Emeka Anyaoku highlighted Osoba’s role in transforming the Daily Times of Nigeria into a leading newspaper. The occasion celebrated Osoba’s values of good governance, inclusion, and prosperity for the people of Ogun State.
