On her birthday, known as Malala Day, she highlighted the ongoing struggle for girls’ education in Pakistan and challenged world leaders to stand up for gender equality in diplomatic engagements with the Taliban. The Malala Fund is pushing for the UN to recognize “gender apartheid” as a crime against humanity, reflecting the dire situation in Afghanistan. Malala criticized the recent Doha talks for excluding women, emphasizing the importance of including their voices in discussions on the future of the country. She called on countries with feminist foreign policies to condemn such exclusions and advocate for a principled approach when engaging with the Taliban.\
