Morocco’s Ambassador to the United States, Youssef Amrani, recently participated in the “NATO Public Forum” during the Washington Summit, commemorating the 75th anniversary of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. Amrani joined a panel discussion focused on “NATO Looks South: Strategic Perspective and Partnership relations.”

Emphasizing the longstanding partnership between Morocco and NATO, Amrani highlighted the Kingdom’s commitment to collaboration with the Alliance to address shared threats and challenges. He stressed the importance of a strong political dialogue between NATO and its Southern partners to promote mutual understanding and practical cooperation.

Amrani also highlighted King Mohammed VI’s Atlantic Vision, which aims to reconfigure the African Atlantic space for shared development and prosperity. He underscored the connection between peace, security, and development, emphasizing the need for a holistic approach to address security challenges in the region.

The ambassador’s call for further partnership with Southern countries within the Mediterranean dialogue resonated widely, reflecting the shared commitment to integration, sharing, and solidarity in the Atlantic region.
