Kgosi Letlape urges MPs to utilize public facilities for improved healthcare services

MP Dr Kgosi Letlape from ActionSA has called on his fellow MPs to set an example by utilizing public healthcare facilities instead of opting for private services. Letlape believes that if all government officials, including MPs, judges, and other public figures, choose to receive medical treatment from the public sector, it will greatly improve the state of public healthcare in the country.

Speaking during a parliamentary session, Letlape emphasized the need for leaders to lead by example and take the initiative in fixing the public health system. He argued that by using public hospitals and clinics, they would be able to address issues such as the lack of professionals, drugs, services, and equipment. Letlape stressed that proper leadership from the National Assembly is crucial in addressing the healthcare crisis in the country.

Letlape urged MPs to demonstrate their commitment to the people who elected them by supporting the public health sector. By obtaining their healthcare services from public facilities, they can ensure proper oversight and accountability within the healthcare system.
