In an important development to address Lal Dora property issues, Haryana has initiated a registry scheme. Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini will distribute property certificates and registries at an event in Manesar, Gurugram on July 12. The Chief Minister Urban Body Ownership Scheme, launched in 2021, will benefit property owners and long-term tenants, offering ownership rights to those occupying properties for over 20 years.
The initiative aims to resolve challenges faced by Lal Dora property owners, with an estimated 25,000 beneficiaries generating revenue of Rs 1,000 crore for the state. The scheme, part of the Svamitva Scheme, targets urban tenants leasing properties for over two decades, allowing them to become owners by paying a nominal fee based on occupancy duration.
Applicants can apply online through the government portal, providing necessary documents to support their claims. The scheme offers discounted registration fees based on occupancy duration, aiming to streamline property ownership and boost economic activities in Lal Dora areas.
This visionary scheme is set to transform urban development in Haryana, marking a significant milestone in resolving longstanding property ownership issues and fostering economic growth.
