66% of Americans Want Biden to Withdraw

A recent poll has revealed that a significant majority of Americans, including many Biden supporters, believe that Joe Biden should drop out of the presidential race following a lackluster debate performance. Despite this sentiment, Biden is still running neck-and-neck with former President Donald Trump, with both candidates tied at 46-47 percent support.

However, the fallout from the debate has not significantly impacted Biden’s chances of reelection, as the numbers remain consistent with April data. While Biden’s approval ratings have not changed post-debate, he continues to face low approval numbers overall.

Surprisingly, 67 percent of voters believe Biden should step aside, including 62 percent of Democratic-leaning voters. If Biden were to drop out, Vice President Kamala Harris emerges as a potential replacement with a favorable outcome against Trump in a head-to-head matchup.

Calls for Biden to withdraw are growing, with key figures in the Democratic Party expressing doubts about his candidacy. Despite this, Biden has indicated he will not be stepping down, setting the stage for a potentially contentious campaign ahead.
