Russia designates Yulia Navalnaya as a ‘Terrorist’

Russia Adds Yulia Navalnaya to List of “Terrorists” and “Extremists”

Russia recently labeled opposition figure Yulia Navalnaya as a “terrorist” and an “extremist,” following an arrest warrant issued for her. Navalnaya, the wife of late dissident Alexei Navalny, continues her husband’s work of opposing Russian leader Vladimir Putin, despite facing persecution.

Her personal details now appear in an online blacklist maintained by Rosfinmonitoring, a state agency targeting the financing of individuals involved in extremism. This move reflects Russia’s common practice of labeling opposition figures as extremists.

Navalnaya, an economist, has bravely stood by her husband during his activism, including his poisoning and subsequent imprisonment. She now faces the same fate of exile, knowing arrest awaits her in Russia.

As she continues to defy Putin’s government from abroad, Navalnaya remains committed to the cause she shares with her late husband. Despite the threats against her, she stands resilient in the face of adversity.
