Mumbai: The Congress does not prioritize Dalits and Adivasis, according to Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi founder Prakash Ambedkar. This statement comes in light of reports stating that the Karnataka government has been diverting SC/ST funds towards their election guarantee schemes. Ambedkar, the grandson of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, strongly criticized the Siddaramaiah-led government for their actions.
Ambedkar further questioned, “Did you know that 14,730 crores meant for SCs and STs is being diverted by the Congress-led Karnataka government to fund their guarantee schemes?” He criticized this diversion as a grave injustice towards the marginalized Dalits and Adivasis in Karnataka, accusing Congress of only caring for their votes. He emphasized that both Congress and BJP are alike in this aspect.
