A shocking video has emerged on social media showing Russian troops allegedly shooting a group of Ukrainian prisoners of war near the village of Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia sector. According to activist Serhii Sternenko, the soldiers responsible were from Russia’s 70th Motorized Rifle Regiment.
Ukrainian Prosecutor General Andriy Kostin condemned the act, calling it a deliberate policy of the Kremlin’s criminal regime to destroy everything Ukrainian. The office has initiated criminal proceedings and vowed to punish all involved in the brutal crime.
Another investigation has been launched into the Russian military’s previous shooting of three Ukrainian POWs in February near the same village. Reports of similar incidents in the region have also surfaced, indicating a systematic pattern of abuse by Russian forces.
The video footage released by DeepState analysts shows the Russian troops shooting the Ukrainian soldiers who had surrendered, highlighting the dire situation faced by POWs in the conflict.
The Prosecutor General’s Office is determined to bring justice to those affected by these heinous crimes and ensure accountability for the actions of the Russian military in Ukraine.
