Moroccan PM and Accor CEO meet to discuss tourism growth during World Cup prep

Moroccan Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch recently met with Sébastien Bazin, the Chairman and CEO of Accor, to discuss strategies for enhancing Morocco’s tourism sector, particularly in light of the upcoming 2030 World Cup. The meeting highlighted the potential collaboration between the Moroccan government and Accor to boost the industry in preparation for major international events.

Bazin reiterated Accor’s commitment to the development of tourism in Morocco, emphasizing the long-standing partnership between the group and the country. He expressed a desire to increase Accor’s presence and investment in the Moroccan market while promoting job opportunities for young Moroccans.

Minister Ammor also emphasized the importance of working with Accor to meet the growing accommodation demand in Morocco by 2030. She welcomed the collaboration as a means to achieve the government’s objectives and support the sector’s expansion.

Accor, established in 1967, is a leading hotel group in Europe and globally, known for operating, managing, and franchising hotels and resorts worldwide.
