Man gets over 4 years for death of original ‘Mickey Mouse Club’ cast member

A man connected to the tragic death of Dennis Day, a former Mickey Mouse Club member, has been sentenced to over four years in prison after a modified guilty plea. Daniel Burda, 41, admitted to charges related to Day’s demise, implicating himself in the crime. Burda was living with Day at the time of his disappearance in 2018, as Day was attempting to evict him. The delayed discovery of Day’s decomposed body led to further distress for his family.

The legal proceedings revealed that Burda not only caused Day’s death but also exploited his identity for financial gain. Despite the lawsuit against the Phoenix Police Department for negligence, a trial is scheduled for October. Burda also faces additional legal repercussions for separate burglary charges, amounting to a total of six years in prison.
