Lawal Imposes Restrictions on Motorcycles in Zamfara

Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal, took a significant step in enhancing security measures in the state by signing an Executive Order restricting motorcycle movement. The order, signed at the Government House in Gusau, aims to protect lives and properties by curbing security challenges and strengthening the fight against banditry.

During an emergency meeting, the Security Council decided to implement the motorcycle movement restriction, as presented by the state’s Attorney General. As of now, all motorcycles are prohibited from traveling between 8:00 pm and 6:00 am in Zamfara State. Security agencies have been instructed to arrest violators, and the Attorney General is authorized to prosecute those who disobey the order.

This proactive measure showcases the state government’s commitment to addressing social vices and promoting safety for its citizens. The restriction aligns with ongoing efforts to combat security threats and maintain law and order in Zamfara State.
