Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has promised to provide jobs to the family members of the victims of the oxygen tragedy in Chamarajanagar that occurred during the Covid-19 pandemic. He expressed his commitment to ensuring that the families do not face injustice and urged them not to seek permission for euthanasia.
The Deputy Commissioner has been instructed to address the grievances of the victims’ families and offer them opportunities to work as outsourced workers at Chamarajanagar Institute of Medical Sciences (CIMS). However, the families have expressed their reluctance to work at the hospital where their loved ones passed away, citing difficulties in leaving their dependents in other towns.
Despite the government’s directive, the families have requested to continue working in their current roles. Siddaramaiah emphasized the importance of providing support and understanding to these families during this challenging time.
