Iran Press/Europe: The speaker of the Islamic Republic’s parliament, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, emphasized the importance of maintaining and strengthening relations with BRICS member countries in the 10th BRICS Parliamentary Forum meeting. He stated that Iran views this relationship as a top priority and is prepared to work jointly with BRICS nations towards common goals.
Ghalibaf highlighted the necessity of multilateral organizations in today’s world, pointing out the ineffectiveness of the current global system in resolving disputes and inequalities. He emphasized the value of BRICS member countries collaborating to play a more significant role in the global value chain and reduce U.S. pressure through de-dollarization.
He also mentioned the importance of cooperation in money transfer processes, trade corridors, transit, energy, trade, and banking among BRICS members. The Iranian parliament and government are fully committed to collaborating with BRICS partners in these areas.
