Domestic Revenue up by JD41.6M in 5 Months


In Amman, domestic revenues for the first five months of 2024 reached JD3.879 billion, showing an increase of JD41.6 million compared to the same period last year. This increase has propelled the coverage of current expenditures to 92.3 percent.

Non-tax revenues also saw a significant rise of about JD40.5 million in comparison to the previous year.

Public spending for the central government during this period totaled around JD4.576 billion, up from JD4.296 billion in the previous year. Despite these figures, the general budget ended up with a financial deficit of approximately JD655.2 million after accounting for aid and other factors.
