Centre appoints single-member panel to probe IAS officer Puja Khedkar’s controversy

Controversial IAS Officer Puja Khedkar Under Scrutiny

The Centre has appointed a single-member panel to investigate the candidature claims and other details of probationary IAS officer Puja Khedkar amid allegations of misusing disability and OBC quota to secure her position. An Additional Secretary from the Department of Personnel and Training will conduct the inquiry and submit a report within two weeks.

The 34-year-old officer, facing accusations of exploiting benefits meant for the physically disabled and OBC category, was recently transferred from Pune to Washim over complaints of bullying and entitled behavior. Despite the controversies, she has assumed her new role as an assistant collector at the Washim District Collectorate in Vidarbha region.

The Personnel Ministry confirmed the establishment of the committee, stating that it aims to validate Khedkar’s claims and details related to her Civil Services Examination candidature. The committee is expected to deliver its findings within a fortnight.
