Canada to Provide Additional $500 Million in Military Support to Ukraine

In a recent announcement, Canada has revealed plans to commit an extra $500 million in military aid to Ukraine this year. This decision, made during the NATO Summit, comes as part of Canada’s ongoing support for Ukraine’s defense capabilities.

Following a meeting between Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Canada has pledged to contribute to a NATO-led initiative with a focus on providing Ukraine with consistent financial support and military assistance. This is in addition to the $4 billion in arms and munitions Canada has already promised and delivered.

Moreover, Canada has also committed to expanding its training programs for Ukrainian pilots who are undergoing training to operate western military aircraft. President Zelenskyy has expressed his gratitude for this show of support in strengthening Ukraine’s air force.
