Exciting news for Balochistan as Minister for Irrigation Mir Sadiq Umrani announces that the province is finally receiving its full share of water from the Indus River through the Pat Feeder canal after 15 years. With 6200 cusecs of water now flowing into the canal from Sukkur Barrage, Balochistan’s water supply has been restored to its maximum capacity.
Furthermore, the provincial government has allocated Rs64 billion for the cleaning of the Pat Feeder canal to ensure a steady increase in Balochistan’s water allocation from the Indus River. Minister Umrani also addressed allegations of political revenge, emphasizing that actions against water theft were taken under the directives of the Balochistan High Court.
