17th APA Congress sparks new era of cooperation among African public prosecutors

The 17th Congress of the Africa Prosecutors Association (APA) marks a new era of cooperation among African public prosecutors’ offices, as stated by El Hassan Daki, the Prosecutor General of the King at the Court of Cassation and Head of the Public Prosecution Office. Taking place in Marrakech, this congress aims to strengthen communication, exchange ideas, and address various issues related to the work of public ministries across the continent.

The newly elected President of the APA, Renson Ingonga from Kenya, is determined to lead the association towards higher goals and has emphasized the importance of establishing a permanent APA headquarters in Morocco. Outgoing president Mohamed Chaouki highlighted the significance of judicial cooperation in combating cross-border crimes like human trafficking and cybercrime.
