Defense Minister Yoav Gallant made a bold statement on Wednesday, revealing that 60% of Hamas terrorists in the Gaza Strip have been killed or wounded due to Israel’s ongoing operation. He mentioned that Israel has successfully disrupted the majority of the 24 battalions within Hamas’s military wing.
‘IDF has killed 14,000 terrorists’
Gallant highlighted the IDF’s actions, resulting in the elimination of over 14,000 terrorists and the dismantling of Hamas’s military infrastructure. He emphasized that all operations are conducted within the boundaries of the law and operational necessity.
Additionally, Gallant stressed the importance of “international legitimacy” for the continuation of the operation. He also announced plans to send draft notices to ultra-Orthodox Jews previously exempt from military service, following a ruling by Israel’s Supreme Court.
Although some political factions oppose the end of the exemption, the IDF maintains the need for more recruits to ensure Israel’s security and combat against Hamas in Gaza.
