Turkey ‘eliminates’ 3 PKK militants in N. Iraq

Three PKK terrorists were “neutralized” by Turkish security forces in northern Iraq, as announced by Türkiye’s National Defense Ministry. The operation took place in the Gara region, where the terrorists were detected and dealt with accordingly. This is part of the ongoing efforts by the Turkish armed forces to eliminate terrorism at its root.

The term “neutralize” used by Turkish authorities refers to terrorists either surrendering, being killed, or captured. The PKK, a designated terrorist organization by Türkiye, the US, and EU, has been carrying out attacks from its hideouts in northern Iraq, aiming to cause harm and instill fear in Türkiye.

Throughout its nearly four-decade long campaign, the PKK has been responsible for the deaths of over 40,000 individuals, including innocent women, children, and babies. The threat posed by this organization continues to be a significant concern for the security and stability of the region.
