Rise Mzansi’s Songezo Zibi has been elected unopposed as the chair of the Standing Committee on Public Accounts (Scopa). Zibi, a former newspaper editor and writer with a background in corporate communications, will lead the committee in ensuring that the public purse is accounted for.
