A dormitory and a research building are under construction at North Korea’s Kim Jong Un National Defense University.

Satellite images have captured the ongoing construction of new buildings at North Korea’s Kim Jong Un National Defense University. Analysis of recent satellite images reveals the development of a large-scale facility and additional buildings.

According to sources inside North Korea, the new constructions include a research building and a dormitory. The research facility, named the “Juche Weapons Research Complex,” aims to advance weapons research and development. Concurrently, new dormitories are being built to accommodate the increasing number of students at the university.

A potential creation of a new department at the university is suggested by the additional dormitory. This aligns with Kim Jong Un’s vision to enhance defense sector research and education at the institution, which currently houses 11 departments.

Overall, the ongoing construction at Kim Jong Un National Defense University signifies a strategic effort to strengthen national defense capabilities and promote military education in North Korea.
