The world is on the brink of another war, divided between Western democracies and Eastern tyrannies following the Peace Summit in Ukraine. The conflict has escalated, with the Global South observing from the sidelines. The roots of this crisis trace back to the US strategy of disarming Europe in 1990, leading to a resurgence of Russian aggression and challenges to the global order.
The recent ultimatums issued by Putin to the US and NATO suggest a shift in power dynamics, with authoritarian regimes gaining confidence as the West appears weak. The solution lies in reviving the spirit of cooperation seen during the Cold War, with NATO evolving into regional security blocs under strong leadership. This two-tier system would share responsibilities, minimize risks, and ultimately deter aggression from Eastern tyrannies.
To ensure peace for future generations, leaders must unite and stand firm against threats, avoiding past mistakes of appeasement. The time for action is now, to prevent further chaos and ensure stability in a world on the brink of turmoil.
