Pakistan aims to strengthen ties with Gulf states: Dar – Govt agenda

The government of Pakistan, under the leadership of Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, is actively strengthening strategic partnerships with Persian Gulf countries, Uzbekistan, and China in the fields of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) and renewable energy. Mr. Dar highlighted the government’s focus on economic diplomacy and enhancing trade and investment through international collaboration.

One of the significant outcomes of this diplomatic outreach is the UAE’s commitment to invest $10 billion in Pakistan, showcasing confidence in Pakistan’s economic resurgence. Additionally, efforts are being made to address issues faced by Pakistani students in Central Asia, with the government actively working to support them.

Furthermore, President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, is set to visit Pakistan on July 11-12 at the invitation of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, where he will engage in discussions with President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

Overall, Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts aim to strengthen ties with key countries and boost economic growth through international cooperation.
