Lagos, PEBEC working to ease business barriers

The Lagos State Government, in collaboration with the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC), is taking steps to eliminate bureaucratic obstacles hindering ease of doing business in the state. Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu highlighted the state’s economic growth from N27 trillion to N41 trillion, attributing it to efforts to improve the business environment.

Sanwo-Olu emphasized the importance of creating a conducive environment for businesses to thrive, with a focus on simplifying regulatory processes, improving infrastructure, and leveraging technology. The government’s goal is to minimize bureaucratic hurdles and provide a seamless experience for all businesses operating in Lagos.

The Lagos Corporate Assembly serves as a platform for public-private dialogue, discussing barriers to ease of doing business and accelerating business growth. The state is committed to listening to the business community, implementing reforms, and ensuring businesses not only survive but thrive.

PEBEC aims to remove bureaucratic bottlenecks and enhance the perception of doing business in Nigeria. Through collaborations with stakeholders and international best practices, the council strives to streamline processes and improve the business environment.
