Israel demands Gaza city evacuation as Doha truce talks persist | Israel-Palestine conflict News

The Israeli military has intensified its offensive in Gaza, ordering the residents of Gaza City to evacuate and head south. Despite the evacuation orders, Gaza’s interior ministry has urged residents to stay put, calling the orders part of Israeli psychological warfare. The United Nations has expressed concern about the impact on Palestinian families and called for civilian protection.

Recent airstrikes by Israel have led to casualties, including the tragic bombing of al-Awdah School that killed 30 people, mostly women and children. The attack has been condemned internationally, and the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees reported that two-thirds of its schools serving as shelters have been hit.

In the midst of escalating violence, ceasefire talks are ongoing with US, Egyptian, and Qatari mediators in Doha. However, Hamas leaders have raised concerns about the impact of Israeli attacks on the negotiations. Hamas seeks guarantees for a permanent ceasefire, while Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu insists on eliminating Hamas before agreeing to any deal.

The situation in Gaza remains dire, with thousands displaced and casualties mounting. The cycle of violence and ongoing conflict highlight the urgent need for a peaceful resolution and humanitarian intervention.\
