A recent drone strike by the Saudi-led coalition forces in Taiz governorate resulted in the death and injury of nine civilians, mostly children, sparking outrage and condemnation.

The Human Rights Bureau in Taiz denounced the attack as a violation of children’s rights and called it a war crime, urging accountability for the perpetrators. The incident, amidst efforts to de-escalate tensions, reflects a pattern of coalition crimes in the region.

The bureau and the Eye of Humanity Center for Rights and Development both called for international and local organizations to intervene, monitor violations, and hold responsible those responsible for the ongoing atrocities against the Yemeni people.

It is crucial for the international community to take action to prevent further civilian casualties and uphold humanitarian principles in conflict zones like Taiz.
