A former social housing block overlooking the Sydney Harbour Bridge has undergone a dramatic transformation into high-end luxury apartments. The Sirius building, although still retaining its brutalist exterior, now boasts 75 lavish apartments adorned with timber, marble, and bronze finishes. Exclusive footage shared by 9News offers a glimpse inside the revamped development.
Dedico Development Services’ director John Green expressed pride in the project, emphasizing the importance of preserving the building’s heritage while incorporating modern elements. Unique copper pods, prefabricated balconies, and stunning city and harbour views highlight the attention to detail in the redevelopment.
Previously home to low and middle-income residents, the Sirius building’s controversial sale in 2019 forced long-term occupants to vacate. With the completion of the redevelopment, new residents are preparing to move in, with apartments selling from $1.6 million to $35 million.
