Obaseki extends condolences and support following deadly thunderstorm at Edo Market.

The Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki, expressed his condolences to the families of the four individuals who lost their lives in Jattu market after a thunderstorm caused trees to fall on them during a morning rain. The tragic incident occurred in Etsako West Local Government Area and left several others injured.

Chairman of the council, Marvellous Zibiri, confirmed the deaths and injuries, urging residents to stay indoors during rainy weather. Governor Obaseki described the incident as a tragedy and assured that emergency response teams were deployed to assist those affected.

He extended heartfelt condolences to the victims and their families, emphasizing the government’s commitment to preventing such tragedies in the future. Obaseki also urged residents to exercise caution during the rainy season while ensuring the safety and well-being of all citizens.
