Norway Urges South Sudanese Leaders for Peaceful Elections

As South Sudan celebrated its 13th independence anniversary, the Norwegian ambassador, Linken Nymann Berryman, called on the country’s leaders to prioritize durable peace and prepare for upcoming elections. Norway has been a longstanding supporter of South Sudan, advocating for freedom, democracy, gender equality, and human rights.

In her message, Berryman emphasized the importance of unity among political leaders to ensure a peaceful transition towards democratic governance. With the support of Norway, initiatives like the Tumaini Initiative aim to foster stability and progress in the nation.
