Israel’s dream of America | Conflict in Israel-Palestine

The insidious connection between US conservatism and Israeli ethno-nationalism may seem perplexing, but it reveals a shared dream of settler colonialism – the erasure of natives. This dream is fueled by the desire to achieve the Americanization of Palestine, where the indigenous population is displaced and replaced by white supremacy. The alliance between American neo-Nazism and Israeli government showcases the unsettling reality of settler colonialism in action.

Zionism mirrors Americanism in its violent colonization, both past and present. The repeated atrocities against Palestinians echo the historical injustices faced by Indigenous and Black Americans. This advancement of settler colonialism reflects a disturbing evolution of Americanism, where empathy is mobilized in service of murder.

The settler’s dream of America resonates in the actions of both hawkish right and left factions, perpetuating a cycle of violence and displacement. The only hope lies in moving towards a post-Western future, away from the entrenched colonial violence that defines the West. It is time for the un-eliminated, un-exterminated, and non-dreamers to rise against the fiction of settler supremacy.
