Gaza City’s Terrifying Night: A Tale of Terror

In the midst of the Israeli army’s ground attack and bombardment, thousands of Palestinians in Gaza City faced a night of terror. Rana Al-Gharabli, a local resident, shared her harrowing experience of constant bombings with The New Arab. The situation left them with nowhere to run or hide, as the city lay in ruins.

As families sought refuge at UNRWA centers, Israeli tanks surrounded the buildings, leaving them feeling trapped. The Israeli army claimed their attack aimed to thwart Hamas and Islamic Jihad activities but provided no evidence, causing widespread displacement.

With limited transportation, residents had to walk for kilometers in scorching heat to escape the onslaught. The ongoing violence left many families trapped, unable to flee their homes, as casualties continued to rise.

The relentless attacks led to strong resistance from Palestinian fighters in Shujaiya, reflecting the community’s determination against the occupation. Despite the challenges, they remained steadfast, with young Palestinians joining the resistance against the aggression.
