A joint operation between the Nigerian Army’s 21 Armored Brigade and the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency intercepted a shipment of illicit substances destined for Boko Haram terrorists in Borno State.
Security analyst Zagazola Makama revealed that the joint team seized 163 bags of a psychoactive substance called “Goom” or “Akusukura”, totaling 2.5 tonnes. The operation, based on intelligence, was carried out swiftly in Konduga LGA.
Makama emphasized the importance of timely information in combating drug trafficking and terrorism. The intercepted substance, known for its deadly nature, poses a serious threat to public health and is used by individuals seeking heightened psychological effects.
